I’ve added a News Mashup which is in a similar format to the Trading Blog List. This is a place for me to quickly scan through the most recent news headlines. For example, I was able to find this video from the Madoff auction from the Digg feed.

Regarding today’s action, could it be different this [...]

All the technicians have their charts and various arguments on why the market is going up or down. In my opinion, only one chart is controlling this market. The dollar is up today and therefore the market is down.
AMZN is currently up 23.5% and Microsoft is up 6.5%. Still, even the QQQQs are are [...]

Everyone has been used to the correlation of a weak dollar equaling higher stock prices. But, I can tell you on a factual basis that at some point the dollar’s decline will become a liability for the market and that the correlation will reverse. Sure, the declining dollar is good to a certain degree [...]

UDN is right at resistance. The market looks strong this morning but be especially careful before crude inventory comes out at 10:30 ET. If the dollar does breakdown (and UDN breakout), the market will explode higher and Dow 10,000 will be very real. However, this is an action point and I would be a [...]

The most important chart continues to be the dollar.

As I mentioned in my short AAPL post (I closed my position today – it was just a quick scalp), it seemed likely that the market might have a brief pause due to the dollar hitting support (and UDN hitting resistance). I also noted that the [...]

Today my TBT position got stopped out at $46.40 and my long position in MOT was also stopped out. I’m now left only with my longer term trend trade in UDN and a small long position in SAY.

Speaking of UDN, today was the first down day since September 3. I’ll be holding my position using [...]

It is one thing to have good trading ideas, it is quite another to execute well. Anyone that has entered a trade and been stopped out by a few pennies only to watch a stock blast off knows the difference between a good idea and a good idea coupled with good execution.
UNG was a perfect [...]

For a light portfolio, things are going very nicely. FXE and UDN are breaking out and UNG is on fire again. I added a little to my long UDN position on the breakout. I sold off my profits in UNG to bring my position back to its original position size.
Note that breakout on XME today [...]
